Murat Gisi

Murat Gisi is a German Patent Attorney and European Trademark and Design Attorney. As an experienced patent attorney based in Bremen and Berlin, he supports companies, start-ups and inventors in securing legal protection for their innovative ideas. With in-depth expertise in protecting software and computer-implemented inventions, as well as in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, he develops tailored patent strategies that are both economically sound and forward looking.

For more than ten years, he has advised clients in national and international patent law, from patent applications and prior art searches to representation in patent infringement and nullity proceedings. As a lecturer in Intellectual Property Law at Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, he combines practical experience with academic knowledge and stays up to date with current developments in patent law.

A particular focus of his work lies in advising small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) from the DACH region on building and protecting their intellectual property (IP) rights in Turkey. In this context, he strategically assists clients with the international filing, enforcement and defense of patents and trademarks.

Another focus of his professional career has been business development. Between 2015 and 2019, he was responsible for establishing and representing an international patent and law firm in the German speaking region (DACH). In this role, he was able to combine his economic and legal expertise, expand networks and create sustainable collaborations between law firms and industry partners.
